Rocker Jon Bon Jovi opened a very unique restaurant in New Jersey. If you're looking to dine at the new Soul Kitchen, you can leave your wallet at home because the menu is filled with meals but no prices. Diners have the option to pay what they can afford, work at the restaurant or perform community service in exchange for a meal. The effort made by the musician is to help feed the hungry without the brand of "soup kitchen."

I really like this business model. I am going to investigate this further. This could be exactly what I am looking for.

One of my LJFs- [livejournal.com profile] byrthebb  -  shared a website with her LJFs and I want to do the same: http://www.stilltasty.com/
Great for food items and your not sure if they are still "good" or not. I was getting my pantry in order for Thanksgiving and came across a can cranberry sauce which was dated to be sold by Dec 2008. Still I wasn't really sure but threw it away figuring be safe instead of sorry on Thursday. Well turns out that was a wise move.
